The Longest Hello is a documentation of the beauty of the West, produced by Nick and Laura Ocean.
Nick and Laura worked in the entertainment industry in LA before leaving the city and driving into the woods. Nick was working in Visual Effects for Feature Films, going over images countless times to digitally create perfection. Those hours drove him to appreciate his film background more and more: the beauty of the moment, just as it is. Laura has had the opportunity to work in both the film and the music industries filling roles from production to advertising, spending evenings as a musician and a writer. What made everyday special, and the hardest part about saying goodbye, was the community of friends and creatives found in Los Angeles. After 13,000 miles and year on the road, they have settled in Portland to continue to pursue art, community and the outdoors.
The goal of this project is to bring the distant and beautiful stories of the West into the every day, to inspire you to live a more adventurous life.
